Core Skills
Innovation is central to who I am. I believe in pushing beyond constraints, exploring ideas that challenge the obvious, and building solutions that are impactful today and thoughtfully future-proofed for tomorrow. Whether I’m facilitating a discovery workshop or shipping a component in Figma, I bring the same energy: purposeful, rigorous, and genuinely excited by the work.
Who I Am
Designing for what could be, not just what is
As a Senior Product Designer with experience across luxury eCommerce, enterprise SaaS, and auction platforms, I’ve spent my career at the intersection of human behaviour and digital possibility. My work isn’t just about making things look good — it’s about making things work better for the people who use them, and the businesses that build them.
I’m motivated by the question “what could this be?” more than “what should this do?” That curiosity has shaped every project I’ve taken on — from designing a zero-downtime Fenty Beauty launch experience for Harvey Nichols to building the compliance tooling that sits at the core of Phillips’ digital business.
Outside of design, you’ll find me surfing, snowboarding, or diving into a new film, comic, or game. The same curiosity I bring to the slopes shows up at the desk — a belief that growth comes from trying things that challenge us, whether that’s a new design system pattern or a wave you’re not quite sure you’ll make.

Key Principles
What guides the work
Four principles run through everything I do — from the first discovery session to the final shipped product.
Innovation
I’ve always been a maker — constantly exploring new ideas, pushing against constraints, and finding creative paths through problems that would make others reach for the easy answer. If a solution feels obvious, I ask what we’re missing.
Learning
Curiosity is the engine. Whether it’s mastering a new design tool, understanding an unfamiliar business domain, or picking up a snowboard for the first time — I believe that real growth comes from consistently doing things that stretch us.
Collaboration
Great products don’t happen in isolation. I thrive in team environments — listening, sharing, and building together with designers, engineers, PMs, and stakeholders. The best decisions come from collective intelligence, not individual conviction.
Passion
I’m energised by design, technology, and storytelling — from UX craft to comics, films, and games. That passion isn’t background noise; it’s what keeps the work sharp. When you care deeply about what you make, it shows in what you ship.
My Approach
How I actually work, day to day
My work as a Product Designer revolves around three things: collaboration, clarity, and continuous learning. On a typical day, I partner with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders — moving fluidly between standups, discovery sessions, sprint planning, and deeper strategic conversations.
I often work across multiple products or features simultaneously, shaping outcomes based on priorities agreed with Programme Management. That breadth of context makes me a more effective designer — I understand how individual decisions ripple across a product ecosystem.
Collaboration is central to how I work. I bring Product Managers, Engineers, Growth teams, and stakeholders into the Discovery phase whenever possible. Through workshops and shared exploration, we frame better problems and uncover opportunities we wouldn’t reach working in isolation. Great products are built through collective insight, and the design process is richer when more voices are in the room early.

A typical day looks like
Morning
Standup + async review
Syncing with the team on priorities, reviewing overnight feedback from stakeholders, and catching up on any engineering queries.
Mid-morning
Discovery or design work
Deep Figma sessions, user flows, wireframes — or facilitating a discovery workshop to align the team around a problem worth solving.
Afternoon
Review + iteration
Design critiques, stakeholder reviews, or working with engineers on handoff. Refinement based on real feedback, not assumptions.
End of day
Sprint planning + documentation
Digital Producers manage content independently and all three commercial models operate within a single ecosystem without architectural compromise
How’s it like to work with Jason?

Jack Horton
Delivery Manager (Digital) at Virgin Media O2
I worked with Jason during out time together at YOOX Net A Porter. Jason is a breath of fresh air that brings great ideas, pragmatism and fun to the table. He worked really well with our engineering team and always went over and above to make sure that we were creating best in class experiences for our customers. He was a great asset to our team and any place is lucky to have him! I’m confident our paths will cross again in the future 🙌

Conor McGann
CSS Shopping ads Consultant, PerfX at Google
Jason was extremely easy to work with. Thanks to his curiosity & natural aptitude for what good UI means, the HN Team & I were able to truly transform the look & feel of Product Details Pages together and even improve the overall UX of the Harvey Nichols mobile site through to checkout. I would strongly recommend Jason to any other company as he has strong UX/Design knowledge and was extremely fluid in working style.

Chris Bayley
Head of Digital Solutions at Lewisham Council
Jason is a very hard working UX Designer who puts customers at the heart of his work. He very quickly is able to work up designs, wireframes and prototypes to help improve the customer journey. During my time as his manager, he developed his story telling ability to accurately identify pain points using various data sources, to design and test solutions, and to ensure these are developed with the agile software team. I look forward to working with Jason again.
Key Principles
What guides the work
Four principles run through everything I do — from the first discovery session to the final shipped product.

Product Growth & Product-Led Growth
Strategy + Execution
Existing tools prevented the team from introducing new audience strategies, payment types, and campaign mechanics. The constraint wasn’t talent — it was infrastructure.

Workshop Facilitation
Discovery + Alignment
I run structured workshops that turn ambiguous briefs into clear, shared problem statements. From stakeholder alignment sessions to design sprints, I create the conditions for better decisions — earlier in the process, when they’re cheapest to make.

Building Products
End-to-end delivery
I work across the full product design lifecycle — from research and ideation through to detailed specs and engineering handoff. I’m comfortable owning multiple workstreams simultaneously and delivering high-quality work at pace without cutting corners on craft.

Scaling Design Systems
Systems thinking
I build and scale design systems that give teams the freedom to move fast without losing consistency. From component libraries to documentation frameworks, I create the shared language that lets design and engineering work as one — not in parallel silos.
